1. Overview
The "Abandoned Cart Reminders" add-on is a marketing tool for the CS-Cart platform. It automatically sends personalized email notifications to customers who have added items to their cart or wishlist but did not complete the purchase.
The add-on supports the following reminder types:
- Abandoned cart reminders (items left in cart)
- Wishlist reminders (saved/deferred items)
- Birthday notifications
- Recently viewed products reminders
- Customer reactivation (no activity for a long time)
2. Menu & Navigation
After installation, the add-on adds the following menu items under "Marketing / Cart Item Reminders":
- Configure Reminders — create and manage email templates
- Reminder History — log of all sent notifications
- Special Offer Settings — manage promotions and coupon codes
- Product Placeholders — templates for displaying products in emails
3. Incomplete Purchases Page
The "Incomplete Purchases" page gives the store administrator a complete overview of all abandoned carts. For each record, the following information is displayed:
- Customer name and details (including unregistered/guest users)
- Email, IP address, delivery address
- Date and time the cart was created
- Number of items, product names, and order total
- Selected payment and delivery method
- History of sent reminders with timestamps and statuses
Administrators can manually send any configured reminder (e.g., "Abandoned cart reminder" or "Wishlist reminder") directly from this page by selecting the desired template from a dropdown and clicking "Send".

4. Reminder Templates List
The "Configure Reminders" section displays a list of all created templates. For each template, the following is shown:
- Template name
- Reminder type (cart items, wishlist, birthday, viewed products, reactivation)
- Wait period (how many days/hours after the event to send)
- Status (Enabled/Disabled)
The add-on includes the following pre-configured default templates:

5. Abandoned Cart Email Template Settings
When creating or editing a template, the following parameters are available:
- Name — internal name of the template
- Notification type — choose the category (cart, wishlist, etc.)
- Wait period (days / hours) — delay before sending after the triggering event
- Generate coupon code — automatically create a unique promo code for each email
- Available promotions — select a discount promotion whose coupon will be included
- Email subject — the subject line of the email
- Notification body — HTML editor with placeholder support
- Send test message — send a test email to a specified address
- Status — Enable/Disable

6. Wishlist Reminder Email Template Settings
The wishlist reminder template is similar to the abandoned cart template, but includes an additional special placeholder:
The notification type in this case is "Deferred items / Wishlist". All other configuration parameters are identical to the cart reminder template.

7. Reminder History
The "Reminder History" section allows tracking of all sent notifications. The table displays:
- User ID and name (or a dash for unregistered users)
- Recipient email address
- Name of the template used
- Reminder type
- Date and time of sending
- Status (Sent)
Filtering by period is available (all records or a custom date range), allowing analysis of mailing effectiveness over time.
