- Configurable Status Mapping — Map Barion payment outcomes (Succeeded, Failed, Pending) to your preferred CS-Cart order statuses.
- Idempotent Processing — Duplicate callbacks are handled safely without re-processing orders.
- Secure Logging — All API interactions are logged with sensitive credentials (POSKey) automatically stripped.
- Clean Uninstall — Removes all database entries on uninstallation with no residual data.
How It Works
- Customer selects Barion at checkout and places the order.
- The addon creates a payment via the Barion Smart Gateway API.
- Customer is redirected to Barion's hosted payment page to complete payment.
- Barion sends a server-to-server callback to your store confirming the payment result.
- The order status is updated automatically and the customer sees the confirmation page.

- Redirect (Default) — Customer is redirected to Barion's secure hosted payment page
- Inline (Embedded) — Barion Smart Gateway JS SDK renders an embedded payment form directly on your checkout page, with support for Apple Pay and Google Pay

- Active Barion merchant account with Smart Gateway enabled (barion.com)
- SSL certificate installed on your store
Supported Countries
Barion Smart Gateway is available for merchants in Hungary and across the European Union, making it ideal for Central European e-commerce stores.
Installation
- Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip
- Activate the addon and enter the license key
- Create a new payment method under Administration > Payment methods.
- Select Barion Smart Gateway as the processor and enter your POSKey and Payee email.
- Save, activate, and start accepting payments.
