A promotional banner has to come down at midnight on the last day, seasonal decoration has to go up in advance, and a wholesale block should be visible to dealers only. Usually this is done by hand and forgotten. This add-on puts block display on a schedule and on rules.
What it does
- An availability period for any block: banners, HTML blocks, product blocks.
- A block shown only to selected customer groups.
- Separate settings for every storefront.
- Hidden blocks are cut out of the page source rather than hidden with CSS.
- Works in the Ultimate and Multi-Vendor editions.
When it helps
Seasonal promotions and sales that must start and end on time, and different offers for retail and wholesale. Removing a hidden block from the source also makes the page lighter — the browser never loads what nobody will see.

FAQ
How is this different from disabling a block by hand?
Here the block switches itself on and off on the dates you set — nobody has to remember and do it at midnight.
Does hiding affect page speed?
Yes, favourably: a hidden block does not reach the page source at all.
