Integrate Buckaroo, one of the oldest and most trusted payment service providers in the Netherlands, with your CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor store. Accept payments via iDEAL, credit cards, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit, and dozens of other payment methods popular across the Netherlands, Belgium, and the EU.

Key Features

Secure HMAC-SHA256 Authentication

All API requests are signed with HMAC-SHA256 using your Website Key and Secret Key. No credentials are ever exposed in transit.

Hosted Payment Page

Customers are redirected to Buckaroo's PCI-compliant hosted checkout. No card data touches your server (PCI SAQ A).

Server Push Notifications

Reliable server-to-server push notifications ensure order status is always updated, even if the customer closes their browser.

Idempotent Callbacks

Duplicate push notifications are safely handled. Orders already in a final state are never re-processed.

Multi-Currency Support

Accept payments in EUR, GBP, and USD. Default currency is EUR for the European market.

Configurable Status Mapping

Map Buckaroo's payment statuses (Success, Failed, Pending) to your preferred CS-Cart order statuses.

Payment Mode Switch between Test (Sandbox) and Live (Production) environments
Website Key Your Website Key from Buckaroo Plaza (Configuration > Security > Digital signature)
Secret Key Your Secret Key from Buckaroo Plaza (Configuration > Security > Digital signature)
Transaction Currency EUR (default), GBP, or USD
Status Mapping Map Buckaroo outcomes (Approved, Failed, Pending) to CS-Cart order statuses

Security

  • HMAC-SHA256 signed API requests
  • SSL/TLS peer verification on all outbound connections
  • No direct card handling — hosted payment page redirect
  • Parameterized database queries (SQL injection prevention)
  • Input sanitization on all request parameters
  • Sensitive data (API keys, secrets) masked in all log entries
  • Idempotent push notification handling

Installation

  1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip
  2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
  3. Create a new payment method and select the "Buckaroo Payment Gateway" processor.
  4. Enter your Buckaroo credentials and save.
