Combining shipping costs for vendors in the same location

The Multi-Vendor addon allows you to group vendors and reduce shipping costs for the customer if the vendors are from the same group.

The addon is available in the following language versions: Polish, English, Czech, German, Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Romanian, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish.

We start by installing the add-on:

We can group vendors in a specially created group list:

The names of the groups can be arbitrary and you can assign vendors to these groups freely. We can group vendors by location if they ship from the same warehouse or from the same location.

It is advisable to set the order of vendors in a group because it determines that the delivery from the first vendor in the list will be calculated normally, while the delivery costs from subsequent vendors in the list will be zero (delivery will be free).

The add-on can also be limited to specific delivery methods, selecting the deliveries for which the shipping cost reduction mechanisms will be applied. If a delivery method is not selected, shipping costs will be charged as standard.

When finalizing the order (Screenshot 4), you can see that the shipping costs have been reduced, due to the fact that the vendors have been grouped.

The groups in the following image correspond to the groups shown in Screenshot 2. The shipping costs from vendors who are in groups have been reduced accordingly. You can see that only the first vendor in the group has shipping costs according to the settings, while the subsequent vendors in the group have shipping costs equal to 0.

By using this add-on, we can relieve Marketplace customers from paying multiple shipping costs when different vendors ship from the same location (warehouse).
