Cookie consent your store actually enforces
CS-Cart sets cookies before the visitor has decided anything: the counter starts on the very first page, and an embedded map or video brings in third-party cookies. The add-on shows a banner with categories and enforces the choice: what is not allowed does not start, cookies written before a refusal are removed, and every decision goes to the log.

Why a store needs a banner that enforces the choice
The built-in CS-Cart banner tells visitors about cookies but controls almost nothing: a refusal does not stop the counters. "Ask first, collect later" is required both by GDPR and by Russian law - the add-on closes the gap between what the banner says and what happens in the browser.
A clear choice
Every category lists the services it covers, so the visitor sees what they allow. |
The choice is enforced
What is refused does not start, and cookies written before the decision are removed. |
Decision log
Date, decision, allowed categories and policy revision for every visitor, with CSV export. |
The cost of refusals
Statistics show the share of refusals - that is how far Metrica and GA numbers are understated. |

What the visitor sees
- • A banner with three actions: "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Settings". The reject button can be turned off.
- • A choice window: four categories, the required one cannot be turned off, each lists its services.
- • A policy link leads to the store page you pick.
- • The "Cookie settings link" block for the footer: the visitor can change their mind at any time.
- • Asking again: changed the policy or added a counter - raise the "Policy revision" and the banner asks everyone again.

Maps and videos stay behind a placeholder until allowed
An embedded pickup map or a video in a product description brings third-party cookies. The add-on puts a placeholder with a button in its place: one click allows convenience cookies and shows the content - no trip to the settings.
- • Yandex Maps, Google Maps, 2GIS, YouTube, Rutube, VK Video and Dzen.
- • When to cover is set in the settings: as in the consent mode or only after explicit permission.
- • Covering embedded content is turned on and off by a separate setting.

Counters and pixels follow the choice
- • Yandex.Metrica. The built-in add-on loads the counter bypassing consent; this add-on brings it back under a rule: as in the consent mode, always, off for those who refused or only after consent.
- • Google Analytics and Google Ads through Google Consent Mode v2: on a refusal the counter gets a "do not collect" signal.
- • Services of CS-Cart add-ons gather into one list automatically, each with a category, a mode and a status.
- • Custom codes. A counter or pixel pasted by hand moves into the add-on - as inline code or a script address, to the head or the footer - and starts to obey the visitor choice.

Decision log and consent statistics
- • The log: date, visitor fingerprint, decision, allowed categories, policy revision, page and the source of the decision.
- • Filters by decision, visitor, IP address and page, CSV export.
- • IP addresses can be left out - a separate setting.
- • Records are kept for a set number of days; a scheduler task removes old ones.
- • Statistics: banner views, decision shares and the consent rate, by day.

Settings and appearance
- • Consent mode, policy revision, policy page, decision lifetime and cookie domain.
- • Banner position: a bar at the bottom, the bottom left or right corner, the centre of the screen.
- • Light and dark scheme, custom background, text and button colours, button radius.
- • Custom banner text and additional CSS - matched to the theme without editing templates.
- • Administrator group privileges: viewing separately from managing.

Several storefronts and a marketplace
- • CS-Cart Ultimate and Multi-Vendor with several storefronts. Settings, custom codes, the log and statistics are kept per storefront.
- • Full page cache keeps working: the banner markup is the same for everyone, and the decision is read from a cookie in the browser.
What the add-on does not do
It does not write your cookie policy - you create the page, the add-on links to it. It does not find counters pasted straight into a theme template or a block on its own - such code is moved to custom codes once. It is not legal advice: the store picks the categories and the consent mode for its audience.
What's new in version 1.1
- • The banner now appears with the first paint of the page instead of waiting for all store scripts to load: on phones it no longer slows down the LCP metric in Core Web Vitals.
- • In the settings window on phones the "always on" label no longer wraps onto two lines.
- • In version 1.0.1: banner view counting was reworked for several simultaneous page opens by the same visitor.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to code or edit templates?
No. Services of CS-Cart add-ons get into the list on their own, and the mode and categories are chosen in the settings. Code pasted by hand is moved to custom codes once.
What happens to Metrica statistics?
In the soft mode the counter works until the visitor refuses, so almost no data is lost. In the strict mode it starts only after consent. The add-on statistics show the share of refusals, that is how far the counter numbers are understated.
Will the add-on slow down the storefront?
No. The banner is part of the page markup and shows up with the first paint, the decision is read from a cookie in the browser, and full page cache keeps working.
How does a visitor change their decision?
With the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, placed by the add-on block. If the policy changes, raise the "Policy revision" in the settings and the banner asks everyone again.
Does the add-on fit GDPR?
The add-on provides the mechanism: it asks before anything starts, enforces the choice and keeps a decision log. The policy text and the consent mode stay with the store.
Does it work with several storefronts?
Yes. In CS-Cart Ultimate and Multi-Vendor settings, custom codes, the log and statistics are kept for each storefront separately.

Two add-ons that change how a store performs
Everything else we publish improves one screen. These two change the numbers: how customers find products, and how often they come back.
|
Add-on · Search & merchandising Smart SearchElasticsearch-powered search for large catalogues. The customer types two letters, sees products with images and prices, and buys from the dropdown — even after a typo or with the wrong keyboard layout. Visitors who use the search bar are 24% of traffic and 44% of revenue, and convert about 2.5× better than people who only browse categories. If search returns nothing, up to 80% of them leave.
| ||||||||
Try it on a live catalogue: open the demo store and search with a deliberate typo. |
|
Add-on · Mobile commerce PowerApp — mobile app for your storeA native iOS and Android app running on your CS-Cart data: the same products, prices, stock, promotions, reward points and orders. There is no second catalogue to maintain — everything stays in the admin panel you already use. A mobile site brings a customer in once; an app brings them back for free. Push notifications replace the retargeting budget you spend to buy the same customer a second time.
