[DS] Google Tag Manager

This add-on sends event signals from your e-commerce store to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) using Google Tag Manager (GTM) and GA4 API.

How the add-on works:

The add-on adds a GTM script to the website's page code to track specific events.
Events that occur during page loading or reloading are sent to GA4 using GTM.
Events that occur without page loading or reloading are sent to GA4 using GA4 API.

Tracked events:

view_item (product page view): This event is sent when a user views a product page.
view_item_list (product list view, product category page view): This event is sent when a user views a product list or a product category page.
view_cart (cart page view): This event is sent when a user views the cart page.
begin_checkout (checkout page view): This event is sent when a user views the checkout page.
add_to_cart (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user adds a product to the cart.
remove_from_cart (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user removes a product from the cart.
add_payment_info (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user adds payment information.
add_shipping_info (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user adds shipping information.
add_to_wishlist (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user adds a product to the wishlist.
purchase (GA4 API): This event is sent when a user places an order.

To use this module, you will need to:

1. In the module settings:
   • Enter your Container ID from your Google Tag Manager account.
   • Enter your Measurement ID and API KEY from your GA4 account.
2. In your Google Tag Manager account:
   • Create triggers (Trigger Type - Custom Event):
     • add_to_cart
     • remove_from_cart
     • add_payment_info
     • add_shipping_info
     • add_to_wishlist
     • view_cart
     • view_item
     • view_item_list
   • Create a tag (Tag Type - Google Analytics: GA4 Event)
3. Enable the module and test its functionality.

The add_to_cart and remove_from_cart events are also sent to GA4 when an item quantity is added or subtracted from the cart.
