EU Energy Compliance

Energy Compliance is a CS-Cart add-on designed to help vendors display product energy efficiency information in a clear, structured, and customer-friendly way. It adds dedicated energy compliance fields to products, allows store administrators and vendors to upload official energy label files and energy data sheets, and automatically displays this information on the storefront.

The add-on is built for stores and marketplaces that sell products subject to energy labeling requirements or products where customers expect to see energy efficiency information before making a purchase. 

With this add-on, each product can have its own energy class, visual energy label, and downloadable data sheet. Vendors can manage this information directly in the product editing page, while customers can immediately see the energy rating and access supporting documents from the storefront.

What the Add-on Does

The add-on extends the product management interface in CS-Cart with a dedicated Energy Compliance section. Inside this section, the administrator or vendor can:

• assign an energy class to a product
• upload an energy label file
• upload an energy data sheet file
• replace previously uploaded files
• delete uploaded files when they are no longer needed

On the storefront, the add-on automatically enriches product data and displays the energy compliance information where it matters most:

• in product listings
• in product offers
• on the product details page

If an energy label is uploaded, the customer can open it directly from the product block. If an energy data sheet is available, the customer can also open it from the storefront. This makes technical and regulatory information accessible without forcing the buyer to search for it manually.

Import and Export Support

The add-on also supports product data import and export through CS-Cart EXIM tools, which is especially important for vendors and marketplace owners managing large catalogs.

Energy compliance data can be handled not only manually from the product page, but also in bulk. This includes:

• importing energy class values
• importing energy label files
• importing energy data sheet files
• exporting existing energy compliance data
• exporting linked compliance files for catalog maintenance and migration

This is a major practical advantage for stores with many products, multiple vendors, or regular catalog updates. Instead of editing products one by one, teams can prepare or update energy compliance information in bulk and process it through standard import/export workflows.
