Requirements

• CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.x
• PHP 7.1 or higher
• Fawry merchant account with FawryPay API credentials (Merchant Code, Security Key)
• Store currency set to EGP (Egyptian Pound)

How It Works

1. Customer selects Fawry at checkout and clicks "Place Order"
2. The addon builds a signed checkout URL and redirects the customer to Fawry's hosted payment page
3. Customer chooses a payment method: reference number, card, wallet, or installments
4. After payment (or reference number issuance), customer is redirected back to your store
5. The addon verifies the callback signature and queries Fawry's status API for the authoritative result
6. Order status is updated automatically based on the payment outcome

Fawry Reference Number Payments

One of Fawry's unique features is reference number payments. When a customer chooses this method, they receive a reference number that they can take to any of Fawry's 250,000+ retail payment points (convenience stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, etc.) across Egypt to pay in cash. This makes e-commerce accessible to customers who prefer cash or do not have bank accounts.

Installation

1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip
2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
3. Go to Administration > Payment methods and create a new payment method
4. Select "Fawry Payment Gateway" as the processor
5. Enter your Merchant Code and Security Key from the Fawry merchant portal
6. Configure order status mappings as desired
7. Save and test with sandbox mode before going live

Country & Currency

This addon is designed for merchants selling in Egypt. Fawry exclusively supports EGP (Egyptian Pound). Ensure your store's primary currency is EGP.
