Characteristics are linked to categories when uploading. You can set up binding to the final or primary category. This allows you to adjust the characteristics more precisely. So, if the characteristic is relevant only for one category, then it will be displayed only in it.

A characteristic with the "Options of choice" type is a characteristic in which all possible options are stored at once, and the seller simply selects the right one when filling out the product card. Such characteristics are used to create filters to search for goods in the showcase.

In a characteristic with the "Input Field" type, the variants of characteristics are not stored, the seller simply enters the value in the input field. This type is needed for characteristics whose values are less fixed.

For example, a shoe size has a fixed number of options, and any pair corresponds to one of them. But the diameter of the heel can be absolutely anything, do not hammer all the numbers into the options, starting with about 5 cm in increments of 1 mm. Why store so much data in the database? At the same time, the characteristic itself allows the buyer to get a more complete picture of the product, so it is needed. Therefore, the options for characteristics are not scored in advance, and the seller independently enters the value when filling out the product card.

The seller can fill in the characteristics manually in the product card, or you can import its variants from a file prepared by him, simply comparing the characteristics with each other.

After the seller fills in the characteristics, his product will appear in the search on the showcase.
