Multi-Vendor itself works perfectly well with thousands and hundreds of thousands of products. However, if you are eager to stand shoulder to shoulder with such giants as Amazon, eBay, or Shopclues and showcase millions of items, it may require some extra optimization.
The Marketplace Performance Booster add-on was designed with for only one purpose - to make your marketplace faster. This module speeds up page loading on repeated visits up to 25 times and allows your store to withstand a higher load. Furthermore, caching improves performance of the stores with hundreds of thousands of products.
Here’s what our module will allow you to:
When a customer opens a page, Multi-Vendor has to generate it before giving it to the customer. The page has to be generated every time someone opens it. Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but if you have a large database (usually caused by hundreds of thousands of products) and too many customers requesting pages at once, the store may slow down and even crash.
So, what changes if we enable full-page caching? When Multi-Vendor generates a page, the page is then saved to memory, i.e. cached. When other customers open the same page later, it is retrieved from memory, which is much faster than generating that page.
Therefore, no time is wasted on generating the same pages over and over again. That speeds up your store and reduces the load on the server.
To demonstrate the stamina of a properly configured Multi-Vendor store with full-page caching, we’re presenting a special highload demo and its test results:
We took a dedicated server with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and 64GB DDR4 RAM for €39/month, installed CS-Cart Multi-Vendor, and configured it for full-page caching. Then we imported 200,000 products with 11,000 features, arranged those products into 1,000 categories, and added product filters:
Our technical support team does not provide any assistance in the installation process. We strongly recommend the installation to be handled by a technical specialist. Follow these instructions to configure the environment and set up the Marketplace Performance Booster module on your server.
The add-on package is supposed to be set on the server where the Multi-Vendor is installed by your DevOps. Our technical support is provided for the software itself and does not cover the add-on configuration & maintenance.
