Extension to Multi-Vendor allows creating a PMI system in store - directory of products, from which vendors canf freely take information about products.
We start from installing an extension:
Before configuring an add-on, a special vendor has to be created in store. It should be disabled, so that it's not visible in frontend.
In add-on configuration we type ID of vendor working as PMI, and also mark which fields should be selected by default when vendor is copying information about product.
Vendor PMI works as catalog of products. Admins can log into it using "Log in as" option, and add or import products so that vendors can use them later.
When adding product, vendors have an option available "Copy product by EAN".
This option lets vendor search for products in PMI directory (by product code). Found products can be quickly cloned to vendor store with a click of a button.
Vendors also have two more options available from existing products:
- "Get information by EAN": searches for products in PMI vendor, but instead of cloning them, data replaces the currently edited product.
- "Add product to directory EAN": adds product to vendor PMI, letting other vendors use it.
