Autocomplete Dadata

What it does

Manual entry of addresses, company details, bank data and personal names leads to typos, incomplete forms and slower checkout. This add-on connects CS-Cart profile fields to DaData Suggestions: as the customer, the store shows verified hints and can fill related fields in one click.

Configuration is done per profile field in the admin panel — choose the DaData directory, which value goes into the current field, and which other fields should be autofilled. Works on the storefront (checkout, profile).

• Per-field setup — enable DaData on any compatible profile field (input, postal code, text area, email) without coding.
• 16 suggestion types — address, organization (INN), bank (BIC), full name, email, passport authority, country, Russian Post, tax office, OKVED 2, OKPD 2, currency, metro, car brand, plus organizations in Belarus and Kazakhstan.
• Smart autofill bindings — selecting one suggestion can fill city, ZIP, region, company name, correspondent account and other linked fields automatically.
• Custom value paths — map any DaData response path (for example data.okato) when the preset list is not enough.
• Consistent data quality — clear the main field when a bound field is edited manually, so related values stay in sync.
• API usage control — set minimum characters, typing delay and suggestion count to reduce DaData request volume.
• Secure server proxy — the API token stays on the server; the browser never receives your DaData key.
• Ready-made defaults — on install, common fields (address, name, email, INN, bank, passport) get draft rules you can enable in one click.

How it works

1. Connect DaData — enter your DaData API token in the add-on settings and turn suggestions on.
2. Configure fields — open a profile field, open the DaData tab, pick the directory type, the value for this field and autofill bindings.
3. Use in forms — on checkout, registration, typing shows suggestions; selecting one fills the configured fields.

Requirements

• CS-Cart / Multi-Vendor / Ultimate 4.8.1 or higher
• DaData API token (Suggestions) — get a token at dadata.ru

Common questions

Q: Does it work with Multi-Vendor?
A: Yes. The add-on works with profile fields in CS-Cart, Multi-Vendor and Ultimate. Suggestions are available wherever those fields are shown (storefront and admin).

Q: Which countries does the add-on support?
A: DaData suggestions cover Russia only. The exception is Organization fields — companies from Kazakhstan and Belarus are also available.

Q: Is a paid DaData plan required?
A: DaData offers a free tier with request limits. High-traffic stores may need a paid plan — check current limits on the DaData website. The add-on includes request throttling to help stay within quota.

Q: Will customers see my API key?
A: No. All suggestion requests go through a CS-Cart server proxy. The token is stored only in add-on settings.

Q: Can you help with setup?
