Missing and inconsistent product codes break everything that relies on them: marketplace feeds, the accounting system, code search in the admin panel. Fixing them by hand across thousands of items is impossible — this add-on generates codes by rules.
What it does
- An unlimited number of generation templates — separately for administrators and for vendors.
- Strict EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC formats or your own masks.
- A template applied to a category or to products you pick by hand.
- Two modes: fill in empty codes only, or bring existing ones to a single format.
- Uniqueness control and a notice when a template runs out of codes.
- Manual input limits: forbid code editing or allow it partially.
- Scheduled generation (CRON) and a code generation log.
When it helps
Stores exporting products to marketplaces and price aggregators where the code is mandatory; marketplaces where vendors create the listings and one format has to be enforced; catalogues after an import that arrived with no article numbers at all.

Will the add-on overwrite existing codes?
Only if you want it to: the template settings decide whether to fill empty codes or bring them all to one format.
What happens when the codes of a template run out?
The add-on controls uniqueness and sends a notice that the template's limit is exhausted.
