Book and track B2B cargo with Safexpress, straight from CS-Cart

The Safexpress Integration add-on connects your CS-Cart Multi-Vendor or Store Builder store to Safexpress, India’s leading B2B logistics provider. Safexpress moves bulk cargo across the country by surface, rail, and air, making it the right partner for heavier consignments, bigger boxes, and business-to-business deliveries.

Built for stores that send larger, contract-based shipments rather than small parcels, the add-on handles Safexpress booking and tracking for you — no need to sign in to the Safexpress portal for every order. It is designed with marketplaces in mind: each vendor can plug in their own Safexpress account. The add-on works standalone; paired with the CartModules: Advanced Shipping System foundation add-on you also get per-vendor credentials (Multi-Vendor editions only), multi-box shipment support, and centralized carrier status mapping across every installed carrier add-on.

Supported Services

Safexpress offers a single standard service in the add-on. The delivery network, routing, and speed are managed by Safexpress based on the pickup and drop pincodes and your contract terms. Rates are contract-based, so Safexpress does not quote live rates — you charge using your regular CS-Cart shipping rules.

How It Works

1. A customer places an order and picks a shipping method that uses Safexpress
2. Shipping charges come from your regular CS-Cart shipping rules (Safexpress pricing is contract-based)
3. You (or the vendor) open the order and create a shipment as usual
4. The add-on contacts Safexpress, adds the buyer to your Safexpress address book, and books the waybill
5. The AWB (waybill) number is saved on the shipment
6. Click Update Tracking any time to pull the latest movement; the shipment status updates on its own

Requirements

• CS-Cart Store Builder or Multi-Vendor (single or multiple storefronts) 4.6.3 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher (tested up to PHP 8.3)
• A Safexpress account with API access
• Recommended: CartModules: Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager (the per-vendor credentials feature requires CS-Cart Multi-Vendor)

Installation

1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip file
2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
3. (Recommended) install CartModules: Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager first, then go to Shipping & Taxes > Shipping methods, add a method, pick Safexpress and Safexpress Standard, and enter your login details (see Configuration)

Configuration Options

Safexpress uses two sets of values: login details (on the shipping method) and business identity codes (on the company profile).

In Multi-Vendor with per-vendor credentials enabled, vendors enter their own login details (Username, Password, API Key, Group Code, Client ID); the four identity codes stay admin-controlled on each vendor’s company profile. Available action: Update Tracking. (Cancellation is not available through the add-on yet — use the Safexpress portal to cancel.)
