CartModules: Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager

Smarter shipment packing and live price checks — plus the foundation for CartModules carrier add-ons

The Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager helps you handle shipments better in your CS-Cart store, and it does two jobs. On its own, it makes the Create Shipment page in admin smarter: you can split one shipment into more than one box — each with its own items, weight, and size — and check current shipping prices from your shipping methods right there, before you save. You don’t need any other add-on for these features; they work with the shipping methods that come with CS-Cart.

With CartModules carrier add-ons (like DTDC, Ekart, Shiprocket, UPS, and others) it does more: book the shipment with the carrier, get a tracking number, print a label, and cancel the shipment — all from the same page. Each carrier add-on works on its own, but together with this add-on the whole shipping process becomes one smooth flow. Works on CS-Cart Store Builder and Multi-Vendor, single or multiple storefronts. In short: install this add-on for better packing and price checks, then add carrier add-ons if you want to book and track shipments with specific carriers too.

• Permission Control — pick which vendor user groups can use the multi-box, price-check, and shipping features, through CS-Cart’s normal permissions
• Cancel on Delete — deleting a shipment in CS-Cart also tells the carrier to cancel it, so nothing is left open on the carrier’s side
• Works With Every CartModules Carrier Add-on — no extra setup, and new carrier add-ons work the same way

Optional Carrier Add-ons

You don’t need any of these to use the Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager — the multi-box packing and price-check features work on their own with CS-Cart’s built-in shipping methods. Install one or more and you also get carrier booking, tracking, label printing, and per-vendor accounts on the same shipment page:

New carrier add-ons come out from time to time, and each works with the Smart Shipping & Fulfillment Manager the same way — install this add-on once, then add the carriers you need.

How It Works

1. Install the add-on — the Create Shipment page gains a multi-box layout and a Check Prices button
2. Open an order and click Create Shipment, then type the items, weight, and size for each box
3. Click Check Prices to see current shipping prices based on the boxes you packed, and pick the one you want
4. Save the shipment — CS-Cart saves it the normal way, you just had more control over packing and pricing
5. (With carrier add-ons) the carrier add-on also books the shipment, saves the tracking number, and as the carrier updates the shipment your CS-Cart statuses update to the names you chose
6. (With carrier add-ons) track, cancel, or print labels in one click from the shipment page; buyers see tracking details in their order history

Requirements

• CS-Cart Store Builder or Multi-Vendor (single or multiple storefronts) 4.6.3 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher with cURL available (tested up to PHP 8.3)
• MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.2+
• (Optional) one or more CartModules carrier add-ons (DTDC, Ekart, Shiprocket, etc.) if you want to book and track shipments with specific carriers

Installation

1. Go to Add-ons > Manage add-ons, click Manual installation, and upload the addon zip file
2. Activate the addon and enter the license key
3. Open the addon Settings and turn on the features you want (multi-box packing, price check); if you plan to use carrier add-ons, set up your status names too (see Configuration)
4. (Optional) install one or more CartModules carrier add-ons if you want to book and track shipments with specific carriers
