Data protection rules expect a shopper to agree before the store collects their personal data — and expect you to be able to show that they did. The add-on puts a consent checkbox wherever those details are entered and links it to your own privacy policy page.

What it does

  • A required consent checkbox on the registration page.
  • A checkbox under personal data forms and in the call-back form.
  • Consent to the privacy policy in the newsletter subscription block.
  • The identifier of your privacy policy page set in the add-on settings.
  • Standard language variables — the consent wording is edited without a developer.

When it helps

Any store that collects an email address or a phone number, which in practice means every store. The wording and the policy link are configurable, so the add-on also suits projects whose lawyers supply their own text.

Can I change the consent wording?

Yes, the text comes from a language variable and the link points to your own privacy policy page.

Does this replace legal advice?

No. The add-on covers the technical side — obtaining the consent; the content of your documents remains your responsibility.
