Cart Keeper

The "Cart keeper" add-on stops products from silently disappearing from the cart. An out-of-stock product stays in the cart marked "Out of stock," and when it becomes available again, the customer can return it to the order with one click, or the add-on can do it automatically. Instead, the customer can immediately choose a similar product or subscribe to a back-in-stock notification. Checkboxes let the customer place an order with only part of the cart, and the rest stays where it is. The order contents can also be managed from the mini cart in the header. Set-aside items are stored in the customer's profile and are available from any device. Multi-Vendor with separate checkout and UniTheme2 are supported.

Add-ons capabilities

1. A checkbox for every product

   Each cart row has a checkbox to the left of the image. By unchecking it, the customer sets the product aside: the row stays in place, but the item isn't counted in the totals and isn't included in the order. The "Select all" row unchecks all products or returns all available set-aside items to the order.

2. Out of stock, but not gone

   The CS-Cart core removes out-of-stock products from the cart. The add-on keeps them: the row is dimmed, the checkbox is disabled, and an "out of stock" label appears under the image. Stock levels of individual variations are taken into account.

3. Similar products and back-in-stock notifications

   An out-of-stock product gets a "Similar products" button, which shows other variations of the same product and products from the same category in a similar price range. Only in-stock items are shown, and they can be added to the cart right from the window. The customer can also subscribe to the standard CS-Cart back-in-stock notification there.

4. Back in stock

   When the product is restocked, the row becomes active again, a "back in stock" label appears, and the customer can return the product to the order with one click. With auto-return enabled, the add-on does this automatically without affecting products the customer set aside manually.

5. Mini cart

   The drop-down mini cart has the same features as the cart page: product checkboxes, a "Select all" row, and a list of set-aside items that can be returned or removed. The window stays open after each action. If all products are set aside, an indicator appears on the cart button, and clicking it takes the customer to the cart.

6. If all products are set aside

   The table with set-aside items stays on screen, the "Checkout" button is disabled, and a clear message is shown if the customer tries to check out. In Multi-Vendor, each vendor has its own table, its own "Select all" row, and its own set-aside items.

Add-ons settings

• Display:

  cart layout, detected automatically or set manually (standard table / UniTheme2).

• Mini cart:

  enable/disable, the "Select all" row, and the list of out-of-stock items.

• Items outside the order:

  auto-return of restocked products, what to do with unchecked items on the next visit (remember them or check all again), and the maximum number of saved items.

• Similar products:

  enable/disable, number of products, price range, and search in subcategories.

• Back-in-stock notification:

  whether to show the subscription option in the product row.
