Why publish in our blog?

Publishing in our blog allows you to boost your brand's awareness among CS-Cart store owners. This will help you build trust with customers as well as find new clients. Besides, you can link to your page and products in your articles to promote the brand and solutions. You will find some tips for writing engaging articles here.

Target audience

The content in our blog may appeal to people involved in the E-commerce sphere. Among them are the owners of large and small businesses who want to know how to find and attract new customers, how to increase sales and conversion rates, and how to improve store efficiency. Besides, freelancers may find the articles handy when looking for information and add-ons to carry out projects.

What topics interest us?

In our blog, we publish articles about:

  • complex digital marketing;
  • site optimization;
  • usability, A/B testing, consumer psychology;
  • promotion;
  • content marketing and copywriting;
  • promotion to different markets;
  • web design;
  • web analytics;
  • digital marketing tools;
  • event marketing;
  • cases (not only ups but also downs and ways to avoid them).

Unsuitable articles

Some articles are not suitable for our blog:

  • Press release. It is better to send them to [email protected]. We will prepare newsletters about new add-ons.
  • Copy-paste. Original content is welcomed. Please do not copy information from other resources.
  • Self-promotion. Readers don't like articles written only to promote a certain product. At the same time, there is nothing wrong with a link to your add-on or theme on the marketplace.
  • Too long articles. Readers may lose interest and stop reading the article because of its length.

Suitable articles

Some articles resonate with our readers:

  • News. Tell the readers about any newsworthy event you have found.
  • Opinion piece. Personal experience or your thoughts on a relevant topic can help build contacts with potential customers.
  • Short note. You can publish an interesting diagram or video (for example, a lecture). In that case, please provide a brief description of the content.
  • Review. An article on a specific topic. Unlike the opinion piece, the review is based on facts, not personal experience.

What to write about?

We believe that articles based on real experience are the most valuable ones. The author does not need to come up with a gripping plot — it is enough to describe what you have experienced.

We also welcome figures and analytics in articles, as this can help you prove your point. Check the information you use and refer to reliable sources.

We think that people would be interested in:

  • An article that explains a complicated topic in simple terms.

You can write the entire article about one particular thing in detail. For example, tell your readers about UTM tags, the ways to use them or situations when it is better to avoid them. It would be a good idea to add some visuals to such an article.

  • An article with step-by-step instructions.

You can tell about a certain thing, for instance, about setting up a Google Analytics Counter. Illustrate your instructions with screenshots.

  • An article with steps to achieve a goal.

You can write about certain actions your readers need to take to reach the goal. However, keep in mind that too obvious tips would leave readers cold.

  • A case of a person or company.

Tell your readers about a person or company that uses your products and describe what issues it helped to solve, as well as how their work benefited from it.

Text editing

Please check your text before submitting it.

  • Pay close attention to literacy. Use grammar and spell checkers. The more readable your text is, the more appealing it is to readers.
  • Illustrate your text and add examples: use screenshots, photos, videos, diagrams and analytics.
  • Double-check all the information and refer only to reliable sources.
  • Make sure the data you use is relevant: your article should be based on recent studies.
  • Submit your article and all the illustrations right in the Google Document.

How to write a headline?

The main purpose of the heading is to quickly draw attention to your article. You can use a catchy quote from your text as a title. However, the best heading is the main idea of your article expressed in a few words.

For example, “Serious problem” is not a good one because it does not intrigue the reader.

“What do we do if the sales rate dropping?” is a better title. It catches readers' attention and gives them the main idea of the article.

There are no common rules on how to write a heading but it should not mislead the readers.

What you should do

You need to remember some rules when working with the text:

  • The title should be clear and catchy;
  • There should be at least one image in the text;
  • It is better to split long paragraphs into two;
  • Structure your text with the help of subtitles;
  • Links should be inserted in words rather than directly into the text.

What you shouldn't do

It is better to avoid the following things:

  • Using information without referencing it;
  • Speaking disrespectfully of your competitors;
  • Using misinformation;
  • Using italics or bold style to emphasize;
  • Writing an article only to advertise your product.
