Product Stickers 3 turns your product photos into your best-performing merchandising channel. A single −30%, Bestseller or Only 3 left badge on a thumbnail moves more clicks than another banner ever will — and this add-on is the most complete, most polished way to put those badges on a CS-Cart catalog. Version 3 is not an update. It is a ground-up rebuild of an add-on that has been labeling CS-Cart stores for over a decade: a live visual editor, a real nine-slot layout grid, motion design, text stickers that write themselves from your own product data, and storefront rendering that costs you zero JavaScript.

Static stickers — seven ways to assign one

• To a product, from the product page, through a sticker picker that shows previews rather than a list of names.
• To a category — and the sticker is inherited by every subcategory below it.
• To a feature — every product that has that feature filled in gets the badge.
• To a single feature variant — only the red ones, only the 4K ones. A variant sticker outranks a whole-feature sticker.
• From the sticker itself. The Assignments tab collects products, categories, features and feature variants on one screen, so you never have to walk through a hundred product pages to run a campaign.
• By bulk editing products — the Stickers field is available in global update.
• By product import — one column in your CSV.

Dynamic stickers — thirteen rules that maintain themselves

Automatic stickers are not assigned to anything. They appear the moment a product starts matching a condition and disappear the moment it stops — no cron, no re-indexing, no forgotten “SALE” badge on a full-price product. Pick your own sticker for each rule in the add-on settings; they run alongside your manual assignments.

A design studio, not a color picker

Every sticker can be an uploaded image or pure text styled inside the add-on — and in version 3 the whole style constructor applies to both. Rotation, shadow, opacity, animation and scaling now work on graphic stickers too, right down to the preview in the sticker list.

Properties are added one at a time from a list that adapts to the sticker type: typographic controls are offered to text stickers and stay out of the way for graphic ones. Switch the type and nothing you have already set is lost.

• Text color, background color, border color — with color pickers.
• Font family, size, weight, line height; bold, italic, underline, alignment.
• Border, corner radius, width and minimum width.
• Padding and margin — all round, horizontal only or vertical only.
• Opacity, rotation by any angle, text shadow and box shadow.
• Eleven animations, the shine sweep, and “play when scrolled into view”.
• A free-form CSS class of your own, for anything we did not think of.

Built for the phone in your customer’s hand

• A separate mobile image. Upload a simplified or bolder version of a graphic sticker and it is served automatically below 767 px through a proper <picture> element. Leave it empty and the desktop image is used — nothing to switch on.
• A separate mobile text. “Free delivery on orders over $50” on desktop, “Free delivery” on a phone.
• A mobile scale slider, 50–150%, applied only to small screens.
• Per-device visibility. Independent phone / tablet / desktop switches, using the same visibility mechanism you already know from the Block Manager.

Everywhere a product appears

One rendering path, used consistently across the storefront: the product page (including the Big picture layout), category listings, product blocks, carousels such as Recently viewed, and quick view. In every one of them the stickers are anchored precisely to the product image — they never spill onto the thumbnail gallery, the name or the price.

Built on the standard CS-Cart theme hooks, so a theme inherited from the default one needs no template edits.

Stickers that do more than decorate

• A storefront “Sticker” filter. Shoppers can filter a category by the badges themselves — static and automatic alike. Each sticker can carry its own customer-facing filter name, separate from the internal one.
• A “By sticker” block for the Block Manager: build a “Clearance” or “New in” listing from any set of stickers, with category scope, subcategories and item limit — and it honors inheritance from categories, features and automatic rules.
• Full API output. Stickers travel with product data, so your mobile app or headless storefront can render exactly the same badges.
• Multiple stickers per product, always laid out so that they read as a set rather than a collision.
• Clickable stickers. Any sticker, graphic or text, can carry a URL and open a landing page in a new tab — with unsafe URL schemes rejected on save.
• Tooltips that explain the badge on hover.
• Per-language images, text and tooltips, copied automatically when you add a new language to the store.
• Scheduling. Start and end dates per sticker — a Black Friday badge that appears and retires on its own.
• Customer group targeting, so wholesale sees a different badge than retail.

Bulk work, import and export that survive contact with reality

• Assign a sticker to a whole list of products, categories, features or variants from the sticker’s own Assignments tab.
• Set stickers on many products at once through global update.
• Export and import product stickers by name, not by numeric ID — your CSV stays readable, and it stays portable between your dev, staging and live stores.
• A configurable list separator, plus a field description and a value example right in the interface.
• Unknown sticker names are skipped rather than breaking the whole import; if a name does not match, the value is still tried as an ID.
• Works with both the regular and the extended product import.

Multi-Vendor, properly

Turn on Allow stickers for vendors and every vendor manages their own badges — and only their own. Ownership is verified on saving, deleting and every bulk operation; stickers are bound to the vendor’s company automatically; export, import and assignment pickers are all scoped to the vendor. Or keep stickers centralised and assign them to one vendor or to all of them from the admin panel. A vendor permission schema ships with the add-on.

Made for catalogs with real weight

Performance is the part of this add-on we sweated over hardest. Working out which sticker belongs to which product is genuinely expensive: a badge can arrive from the product itself, from its category, from every category above that one in the tree, from a feature, from a single feature variant, or from an automatic rule — and a catalog page asks that question for every tile on the screen. So Product Stickers 3 answers it once, expands the entire category tree in a single pass, and keeps the result in a cache that lives on between requests and between visitors. Your category pages never recompute any of it. They read the answer.

• A real cache, not an afterthought. The sticker source map is held at the longest-lived cache level CS-Cart offers, so the heavy category-tree pass runs again only when something that could actually change the outcome changes.
• Invalidation you never have to think about. The cache is bound to precisely the four things that can affect it — stickers, categories, features and feature variants. Edit a sticker and the storefront is correct on the very next page load: no manual flush, no “why is it not updating”, and nothing else in your store’s cache thrown away to achieve it. The sticker tables are registered with the catalog’s filter counters as well, so the numbers beside the “Sticker” filter never drift out of date.
• Batched queries. Stickers for an entire catalog page are collected in a handful of queries instead of one set per product — the difference is very visible on long category pages and heavy product blocks.
• Nothing computed twice in one request. Sticker fetches, visibility resolution and name lookups are each memoized for the life of the request, and name lookups ask the database only for the identifiers not already in hand.
• Accessibility. Stickers expose role="img" and a text label to screen readers, and animations respect the reduce-motion setting.
• Security. Sticker URLs are sanitized on save; dangerous schemes never reach the storefront.
• Extension points. Documented hooks around sticker retrieval, automatic rules, bulk assignment and data substitution, for when your project needs something of its own.

New in version 3

For everyone upgrading from 2.x — this is what changed.

• Rendering rewritten: nine-slot CSS grid, column stacking, container-query sizing, one unified output path, and the storefront JavaScript file deleted entirely.
• New sticker properties: separate mobile image, separate mobile text, tooltip, working URL field, sort order with drag and drop, per-device visibility, priority in a slot.

One license. Every edition. Every storefront.

Most labels add-ons on the CS-Cart Marketplace charge you extra for the edition you happen to run — commonly +50% to +100% for Ultimate or Multi-Vendor, and as much as +150% for Multi-Vendor Ultimate — and then meter your storefronts on top.

We don’t. Your CS-Cart edition, your number of storefronts, your storefront domains and your number of vendors make no difference to the price or to the license: one order covers the whole installation. And the license is perpetual — when your update period ends the add-on keeps working exactly as before.
