Even if there's a Stripe gateway offered by another developer it doesn't matter. Just BUY this one.

Stripe is an extremely complex add on and there isn't any room for mistakes or errors or poor code. Everything in regards to this payment gateway is COMPLEX and that's the way it needs to be for security.

We got this add on from these guys and it was possibly the best experience we've ever had from a developer.
The add on is involved and complex, but the instructions provided by Webkul are thoughtful and easy to follow. I wish all developers were this good. It would truly make CS-Ca

I had a problem with the Stripe Gateway (JS) and contacted support. They were very helpful and responded the next day. There were two problems, one was the script (they fixed it for me) and the other problem was me. Thanks guys for your help, I will definitely buy from you again.

Doesn't work on latest version of CS-cart / PHP7. I can't give much more detail as it's broken.

When you check out it forwards to a plain grey screen with a pay button.

Totally defeats the purpose of having an in-context checkout if the context changes...

After some trouble shooting to get the refund option to work and then after they tweaked the function so it looks like the customer remains on the website we are quite pleased with the results.

I had hopes for this add on as it was fairly priced. The problem is the "out of the box" plug in has a generic look when the customer checks out.
Basically the page in the background whites out and ends up looking generic and in our opinion makes the site look less trustworthy. Normally it would just gray out the normal check out page (which is what most of Webkuls cc other add ons do), but not this one.

When I asked why it did this at first they wanted to charge customization. They then presented me with a buggy "inline" add on that no longer allowed the Bitcoin portion. The first problem then was the "refund" did not work and instead took us to a blank white page and did nothing. They requested ftp access, which we supplied, and fixed the problem. We then asked for the zipped file of the add on because we keep them in case we have to reinstall. It took several days and they kept asking for ftp access to our server again...which worried us.

After testing more we realized that if a customer accidentally put in the wrong date or credit card info, instead of giving them a warning the page made an error. We mentioned this to Webkul and they again persisted on wanting ftp access, which by this time we had lost trust in them and did not do so.

Part of the reason we lost trust in them is because they hide feedback on their website. I guess trying to make their add on look better. All we did at that point was explain about the background being white instead of showing the web page they were on in the background.

We did request a refund but as usual they pointed to their refund policy. Which is fine, that is their rule and I lost out. One thing I can do is explain my situation and hope to let others know that this particular app is not all that it is cut out to be.

1) The app itself is buggy and looks like it will require some type of attention from Webkul. The functionality at checkout of the default add on should never show a generic, white page in the background.
2) The service side is the only thing that brought this experience UP to 2 stars. While they did "try" to fix things they first of all blocked a review that was honest, but not scathing. Second of all they seemed to want total and unlimited access to ftp. They stated it worked fine on their website but they only had it set up to work in "test" mode and could not understand that when it was "live" you had issues.
3) The final part that became annoying was their persistence for us to leave a review here. They posted a link to this marketplace multiple times, even when the add on did not fully function. When it became obvious that I was ready to give up they no longer wanted me to leave a review and instead stated, "writing the bad review does not fix the problem..." To Webkul, you are correct that it does not solve my "problem" but it does let other folks know not only about your refund policy when you have a buggy add on that does not function after going back and forth for 3 weeks. You block reviews on your website and the add on itself needs to be designed so it functions like pretty much every other Stripe add ons you sell on your site. Do NOT make the page a generic white at checkout. Instead "gray out" the background so the customer still sees they are on your site.
