Our Addon "Auto Suggest", the Google like suggestion tool, (suggest products while you write in the search box), is ready for the v4.3.x. The results show SKU, Product name, Product Image and there is also a link to the advanced search of this term with more results on the traditional search page.
With Auto Suggest your customers can also search with SKU, Brand, Any Feature, and any Option! Your visitor can see the word he is searching for highlighted in the search results as they appear.
In the Admin settings you can set to search:
- in product name
- in short description,
- in full description,
- in keywords
- in product code
- in product features
- in product options
- search by exact phrase or any word or all the words
- limit number of products in search results list
- show/hide thumbnails
- set thumbnails size
- Show product price in results
- Show product code in results
- Show product manufacturer in results
With image thumbnail and size settings, type of search (all words, accurate phrase) and the ability to choose where to search in a product (Title, description, keywords) is a must have for your v4x CS-Cart.
Just install it through admin screen. Our Addon is using its own search table to make it fast. In order fot this to work you need to regenerate the search table each time as you add new products or upgade any of them. You can do that either manually or by Cron job.
