Overview

If shipping costs and options are made completely transparent as early as possible in the customer journey, this will certainly prevent a lot of unpleasant surprises and abandoned carts.

The CS-Cart Shipping estimate add-on lets you add information about Estimated delivery time, Shipping cost of each Transport company available in your store to keep customers informed as to how long each shipping method takes to ship an order and how much it costs.

The add-on enables you to automatically show the cheapest shipping method right on the product page.

The add-on is totally compatible with our IP Geolocation by MaxMind add-on. Enable geolocation feature to determine customer's location and set up shipping methods for places you ship to. This geolocation extension for CS-Cart will automatically determine the current location of a customer and suggest proper shipping methods.

How it works

As we mentioned above, the Shipping estimate add-on is compatible with IP Geolocation by MaxMind add-on. If you do not have this extension, the location of the user will be taken from the user’s profile. This means that if the customer has not filled in the billing address or checkouts as a guest, they will not see a block with the shipping estimate.The Shipping estimate add-on takes the data from geolocation and displays the cheapest shipping method for customer’s location.

On the settings page of the add-on, you will see the ability to select the position (on the right, at the bottom or not display) of the block with the shipping estimate on the product page. Besides, you can select if the delivery period will be shown in the block.

The Timeout option allows you to be updated if the shipping estimate loading takes much time. If the specified timeout is exceeded, an email notification is sent to the administrator. Leave it empty if you do not want to be notified.

If you want to create a Shipping estimate tab, please go to Design - Product tabs and add a new block.

Even if you do not create a new tab, the customer will see a pop-up with shipping information while clicking on the Shipping estimate link.

Got this add-on along with GeoLocation by Google, and it really is a great add-on. The 2 things that kept us apart from competitors were our shipping options, and our shipping cost. Being able to let users see that directly on the product page was really helpful. It also put an end to "Do You Ship To XXXX?" queries that kept coming before.

Works perfect with Geolocation by Google add-on (there is also IP Geolocation by MaxMind add-on by SimtechDev). It allows me determine the customer location and suggest proper shipping methods. Very userful.

Полезный модуль но только в связке с модулем Google Geolocation. Для России, конечно, лучше бы в связке с модулем определения геолокации от Yandex. Яндекс карта как-то привычнее российскому пользователю интернет. Но в принципе все хорошо и с Google работает.
