Power Blog - content that brings customers from search
The standard CS-Cart "Pages" are fine for "About us" but not for content marketing: they have no article types, authors, tags or subscription. The add-on turns your store into a place people come to for a review or a guide and leave with a product in the cart: articles link to products directly, and article blocks sit right in the catalog.

Why a store needs a blog
A buyer of a complex product reads first: compares, studies the specs, looks for a guide. If they read it on your site, they buy on your site. The blog collects traffic for informational queries and sends it to the catalog.
Products inside an article
Catalog products are attached to an article and shown under the text with the price and the "Add to cart" button. |
Articles on the product page
The "Articles about this product" block picks posts by product, category, brand and tags. |
Traffic from search
Meta data of articles and categories is generated, pages go to the sitemap and articles carry Article markup. |
Readers come back
Subscription to new articles, RSS and Yandex feeds remind of the store on their own. |

Five article types
The type is chosen at creation and can be changed later. A regular article is text with a table of contents built from headings; a gallery is photos with a viewer; a video is a YouTube or Rutube clip or a file from the server; an event has a date, time and address; a place is a point on the map.
- • The table of contents is built from headings, the reader jumps to the needed part.
- • Author, date, category, views and reading time are shown by setting.
- • Comments on articles through the standard reviews add-on, with moderation.
- • Publication period: the article appears and hides on the given dates.

From the article to the catalog
Related products are chosen in the article card and shown under the text with the price. The way back exists too: an article block on the product page, in a category or on the home page picks posts by product, category, brand and tags - the editor links nothing by hand.

Subscription and mailing of new articles
The subscription form lives in a blog block: e-mail, mandatory consent to personal data processing and a confirmation letter when the mailing list asks for it. New articles go to subscribers with the "New blog article" notification of Extended Email Marketing: one article per run, a pause between letters, no repeats, with statistics of opens and clicks.
What you need
Subscription and mailing work through the "Cart-Power: Extended Email Marketing" add-on version 1.36 or newer. Without it the blog shows the RSS link.

Authors, categories, tags
An author has a page with a photo, a job title, a description and the list of articles; in Multi-Vendor a vendor can be an author, and their products are shown on the page. Categories are nested with a list style of their own; tags form a cloud and lead to the tag page with articles.
- • Author filter as checkboxes, like product filters: several authors at once.
- • Article type filter, blog search and a monthly archive.
- • List styles: grid, two grids, list, list with images, large list, masonry.

Administration panel
Articles, categories and authors are under "Website -> Blog". The article card holds the type, the text in the visual editor, categories, tags, products, the image, a gallery or a video, meta data, the publication period, storefronts and user groups.
- • Import of articles from the standard CS-Cart blog.
- • Administrator group privileges: viewing separate from management.
- • Watermarks on article images through the standard add-on.
- • Feeds for Yandex Zen, News and Turbo pages.

Appearance
By default the blog takes the colours of links, text, buttons and borders from the storefront theme style and follows its rounding - nothing to set up. Custom colours and one of the rounding levels are switched on in the colour scheme. Checked on Responsive, UniTheme2 and Nova.

What is new in version 2.28
- • Subscription to new articles and the mailing moved to Extended Email Marketing: a consent form, a mailing list, a scheduled notification and a sending log on the article page.
- • Colours and rounding come from the theme style; custom ones by a switch in the colour scheme.
- • Author filter as checkboxes, an author page with a paged article list.
- • Blog pages are added to the layouts of every storefront, block names in every store language.
- • Article markup for articles and Blog markup for sections through the JSON-LD add-on.
- • Article blocks work next to Elasticsearch search, lazy loading and social buttons add-ons.
- • The update installs on top of earlier versions: articles, settings and colours are kept.
Frequently asked questions
Can I move articles from the standard CS-Cart blog?
Yes, the add-on imports posts of the built-in blog - no retyping.
Will the articles get into search results?
Meta data of categories and articles is generated by your templates, blog pages are included in the sitemap, and with the JSON-LD add-on the articles carry Article markup.
How does the subscription work?
The form in the blog block adds the address to a mailing list of Extended Email Marketing 1.36, and the "New blog article" notification sends the flagged articles on schedule. Without that add-on the blog shows the RSS link.
Can marketplace vendors write the blog?
Yes. In Multi-Vendor a vendor can be an author with a page of their own and a block of their products, and the articles are approved by the administrator.
Will it fit my theme?
Colours and rounding come from the theme style, so the blog looks like the rest of the store. Checked on Responsive, UniTheme2 and Nova.
What happens on update from an earlier version?
Articles, categories, authors and settings are kept, and colours set earlier stay yours. Subscribers of the former built-in mailing are moved to a mailing list when Email Marketing 1.36 is installed or updated.

Two add-ons that change how a store performs
Everything else we publish improves one screen. These two change the numbers: how customers find products, and how often they come back.
|
Add-on · Search & merchandising Smart SearchElasticsearch-powered search for large catalogues. The customer types two letters, sees products with images and prices, and buys from the dropdown — even after a typo or with the wrong keyboard layout. Visitors who use the search bar are 24% of traffic and 44% of revenue, and convert about 2.5× better than people who only browse categories. If search returns nothing, up to 80% of them leave.
| ||||||||
Try it on a live catalogue: open the demo store and search with a deliberate typo. |
|
Add-on · Mobile commerce PowerApp — mobile app for your storeA native iOS and Android app running on your CS-Cart data: the same products, prices, stock, promotions, reward points and orders. There is no second catalogue to maintain — everything stays in the admin panel you already use. A mobile site brings a customer in once; an app brings them back for free. Push notifications replace the retargeting budget you spend to buy the same customer a second time.

Custom CS-Cart development Functionality the platform does not have: add-ons, marketplace mechanics, integrations with 1C, CRM, ERP, payment and delivery providers. We start from a written specification, not from an estimate on a phone call. Details → |

How we work
What you get besides the code
|
Before we start We discuss the goal, offer options and write the specification. You approve scope and price before development begins. |
While we build A named project manager reports progress on a fixed schedule. You always know what is in work and what is next. |
|
Before release A separate QA pass on every release — the developer who wrote the code is not the person who signs it off. |
After handover Documentation for everything we ship, plus a warranty on the modifications and the project. |
Tell us what the store needs to doDescribe the task in a couple of sentences and we will come back with options, a scope and a price. The consultation is free, and we will say plainly if a ready-made add-on already solves it.
