Select the CS-Cart edition on which you will use the add-on.
The update period determines the period of time when you can get access to the new versions of this add-on compatible with the new versions of CS-Cart software released during the chosen period.
To instal the add-on, we will need the FTP access to your server. Please send it along with the order number to sales@cart-power.com once the order is paid.

A product goes out of production — and its page stays. The crawler keeps spending its budget on it, and a visitor arrives from search only to hit a dead end. This add-on turns such pages from ballast into a source of subscribers.

What it does

  • Closes a discontinued product's page from indexing and removes it from the sitemap.
  • Excludes it from exports and from price feeds for Google Merchant and Yandex.Market.
  • Keeps the page reachable by its direct URL only.
  • Shows or hides the last price, the date and the reason for discontinuation.
  • A subscription form on the page: the visitor leaves a contact and hears if the item returns.
  • Export of subscribers to CSV or conversion into product subscribers.
  • An automatic label for discontinued products — with the Product Labels add-on installed.

When it helps

Large catalogues with constant range rotation: electronics, car parts, cosmetics. The bigger the store, the more expensive crawling dead pages becomes — a crawler's budget is finite and better spent on live products.

Would deleting the products not be simpler?

Deleting breaks links from search results and bookmarks. The add-on keeps the page for people who follow those links while removing it from indexing and feeds.

Contacts of people who want that exact product: you can notify them if it returns or turn them into subscribers.

Advantages
Has solved my discontinued stock problem, no more 404 errors or a product sitting there with zero stock. Even allows me to put in a note for anyone who has a direct link to the product. Cannot recomment highly enough.

В идеале конечно добавить бы чтобы при снятии с производства товар скрывался в опциях самого товара и было понятно что этот товар снят с производства и не приходилось заходить внутрь для этого.
Так же "Редактировать выбранные" для изменений для группы товаров
