The sooner a store knows where its visitor is, the more accurate the delivery options, lead times and stock it can show. This add-on detects the location and puts it on a mini map in the top menu, so the visitor sees their city straight away and can correct it.
What it does
- Detects and displays the customer's location on a Google map.
- A drop-down block with a mini map is added to the top menu automatically.
- A pop-up notification about the detected location.
- Default coordinates — country, country code, city, postcode.
- Works without an API key for the maps service.
When it helps
Stores that deliver across regions and chains with pickup points: the customer immediately sees that the store «knows» their city. The site must run over HTTPS for the add-on to work correctly.

Do I need a paid Google Maps key?
The add-on supports working without an API key. With a key, detection and map rendering are more stable.
What happens if the location cannot be detected?
