CS-Cart "In Stock/Out-of-stock alternative statuses" add-on is a great assistant in sales questions that provides shoppers with the information about the quantity of products left in stock. When online store visitors see the quantity of product in stock they are encouraged to purchase this product because it can be out of stock soon. Also this add-on allows to output In stock/Out-of-stock information in the form of images and messages with an attractive look. Thus, it is a good way to add some personality to your site.

I've been using this for ages, but It disrupts the looks and you have to be careful to add formatting if you want to keep the look undistinguishable between regular "in stock" field and whatever you write. Imo the price is not justfied and too high, since it does not have category level statuses (on our website we have pre-orders and the pre-order badge depends on category, so any product that has second category "Pre-order" will have a badge. This would be great feature for this addon.
