Cross-selling usually means a block of «related products» the customer has to visit one by one. This add-on goes further: the related items become options of the main product, ordered from the same page in one action.
What it does
- Products from other categories offered as options of the main product — a boat with an outboard motor, a pump and life jackets.
- Ordering them directly on the product page, without extra visits to the catalog.
- Flexible pricing: a discount for the option, or the item given as a free bonus, while its own price still applies when it is bought separately.
- All standard CS-Cart functionality keeps working for products added as options: sales reports, import and export, inventory management and exchange with accounting systems.
Where it earns
Equipment that needs consumables, technology that needs accessories, and anything with an obvious companion purchase. The customer who has just chosen a boat is exactly the person willing to add a motor to it — but only while they are still on that page, and only if adding it takes one click rather than a search through the catalog.

The add-on does not work with product variations.

Will stock be counted correctly?
Yes — a product used as an option remains an ordinary product, so inventory, reports and exchange with accounting systems work as usual.
Can an option be given away free?
Yes, the price of a product used as an option is set independently of its own catalog price.
